For some reason, my video card has made my screen dim all the time. If you're thinking it's the monitor, I jacked the brightness to max, I also tried switching systems and monitors with my friend's. Everytime my computer was hooked up to a monitor it would be very dim.

I was wondering if anyone knew a solution to this problem or should I just buy a new card? If I should buy a new card, which one? or wait out for the next hottest thing?

My Video Card = Jaton Nvidia TNT 2 M64 with 32 megs (Came with the system)

Some monitors offer an option to select the input voltage. Try changing from 1.0 to .7V. Also, there may be utilities or something added to the "Display" Control Panel to adjust gamma, etc...

I'm not sure how much troubleshooting you want/can go through, but try the TNT2 card in another system. Download the NVIDIA refernce drivers from http://www.nvidia.com if you need them. See if its dark on other system too.

If not, its most likely a setting that was changed recently (assuming this is a new problem). Remove any benchmarking, system, and tweaking software that you've put on as of late.

What OS are you running? A basic system config is also in order here. Good luck.
