I'm sure there is differences between brands from brand and another. just as there is in a tire brand line . what brand tires do you like best if you were to buy some for lets say a 98 f-150 2 wheel drive ?

Well, I'm not MM34... but I have bought ALOT of tires. On my trucks, I pretty much swear by BF Goodrich tires. LOVE 'EM! LOVE 'EM LOVE 'EM!!!!

On my cars, I usually go for Michelins, however currently I'm running with Cooper tires (because Michelin didn't make a suitable tire for the size I'm currently running...)

Two of the three family cars have Goodrich Radial TA tires on them, and the third has Michelin tires.

Let me add here that I have never, ever seen a Michelin tire with a manufacturing defect.

All I can say is, stay away from Goodyear! I'm currently running on Cooper tires, for the same reason as DF. Other brands I'd consider would be Pirelli or Goodrich (and in the past, Bridgestone, but not so sure about them since the Firestone merger).

The company car has Goodyears on it - performance and mileage have been acceptable but they are noisy as all hell, particularly on concrete interstate.

I put a set of Goodyears on our van. Shortly after, we had so much vibration in the front end that we had to have the tires changed out (under the Discount Tire warranty, so all I had to do was pay for the warranty on the new tires, which were Pirellis). The guy at the alignment shop was the one who pointed out that the problem was "internal" with the tires, and he said the problem was not unusual for Goodyear tires (which he will never own).

I can't stand goodyears. On a previous car, had them as oem, and decided to replace them with it the first time around. wore out within 25k miles....

next time, decided to go with dunlops. they were decent, but then the next change with kumho's, and those were actually great. was very surprised
