If theres a Blue Man Group performance near you and you haven't seen it, go! It was the best show I've seen in a while. The music is amazing, the performance is great, even if a little disturbing at times.

I have never heard of them until a few days ago, and I got word that I was going to see them as part of a technical conference I'm going to in Las Vegas next month. What do they do??

There are three people dressed in black with their head painted completely blue and they do all sorts of things- a big part of the show is percussion and drums. and mess. the first 4 rows or so get ponchos to wear. Its really hard to explain but amazing to see. I can't wait to go again.

I saw Blue Man Group in Boston a few years ago and they were awesome. I would recommend that show to anyone who can get to see it. They are in Boston, New York, and Las Vegas last I knew.

If you are going to be in Vegas you should try to get tickets to the Cirque Du Soliel show there, it was amazing.

The blue man group from their two guest appearances on Leno would best be described as a combination between stomp, using pvc pipes as percussion instruments, and a performance art troupe. They seem to use a lot of blacklight with day glow colors, in terms of both the outfits of the backup musicians and the "art" creations they create. For example, the first time they were on Leno, they used Robin Williams as a inverted paintbrush. Hanging him by his ankles in a white painters suit after they repeatedly coat him in various colors. The resulting work could best be described as a pollockesque work. The second time they appeared on Leno, they did a endoscopy of Mel Gibson, supposedly shoving the fiber optic camera down his throat and allowing the audience to view the "real mel". It was creative and interesting. The music is in my opinion actually really nice to listen to.
Unfortunately the last time I was in Vegas was about a week before they started their performances, and I havent had a chance to get back to Vegas yet. But everyone I know who have gone, have loved it.
Hope this helps.

Hey, I just saw 'O' this weekend. That is so strange that you brought that up penny, cus I thought it was kinda stupid too. Especially when 99% of the world thinks it's like the dopest show ever. I thought Quidam was much more artistic. Like chuck D said "don't believe the hype!"

Well, I saw them in Vegas last weekend and just caught their performance on the Grammys - all I can say is 'amazing'! The show was fantastic - I especially enjoyed
<spoiler alert>
when some poor sod came in late, and they stopped the whole show to shine a spotlight on her while she walked all the way down to her seat down in front of the stage, all the while the 'late arrival' music was playing. Classic!

Go see La Nouba in Orlando. They run it out of a big top in "Downtown Disney." Un-freakin-believable.
