JVC KDLX30 not the greatest deck, but for the cash, its by far the greatest deal i can think of... almost their top model... you can barely fetch a bottom of the line sony for what this is selling at... the deck has its share of critics and claims against its sound quality, but for the avg. consumer.. its fine.. most people aren't picky audiophiles... plus it has a cool wow factor with all the pretty lights(also nice for the avg consumer since most are more picky about looks rather than performance)... its goin for 169 at the moment...
here it is at Sounddomain for 269... on sale! (reg price 289)

Cheaper than crutchfield?
Is that possible?(Heavy sarcasm here)
Crutchfield is a rip off. If you can't find a better deal than Crutchfield, then you really should be reading this forum a lot harder.

but their catalogs are pretty good for comparing different brand and model features so you can decide which item you will buy elsewhere!

Here Here. They give you all the specs that a car audio enthusiast could want. They charge a grip for their stuff(most of the time), but the cheap places don't give you any details(oooh, 40x4 watts per channel on that desk...yippee).

I've got to agree with "resented" on zeb.com prices. They do seem cheaper, but I haven't found an 80% difference. Anyone care to give an opinion on the Aiwa CDC-MP3 MP3Player? Here's the info from Crutchfield:
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-V5Gly49FUum/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=3&g=300&I=570CDCMP3&o=M&a=1
And from zeb.com:
http://thezeb.com/zebaudio/pricelists/aiwa.html
Is there a better brand that does a similar job for a comparable price?

Well, A friend installed the Aiwa, and found that it skipped a lot(BTW, you can pick it up(for around the same price) at Best Buy). Currently, besides the Kenwood(much more expensive), I don't know of anther head unit, in the US, that can directly read CDR's filled with MP3's.
