does anyone use this phone? Since the Palm Pre Plus is coming to verizon next week, I'm considering it. I've only held it once and like the size as opposed to the iphone and Droid. I don't need a hardcore smartphone with every single app (a lot are so frivolous).

The keyboard is pretty mushy, beyond that it seems okay.
I must say though, I absolutely love my Droid.
The pre is the one with the creepy looking super white chick right?
A co-worker had one and hated it compared to her blackberry. The touch screen was flaky, it was slow running two apps and the keyboard was uncomfortable. She returned it within two days.

The keyboard on the Pre is not very good when I tried it out from a friend. The Droid has a higher resolution and from what I've seen it flies.

i'm surprised a nexus thread hasn't popped up.
I think the droid is pretty cool and having the d-pad on there is awesome too.
As soon as i'm out of iphone contract i'm picking something android up. and i'm not buying anymore damn subsidized phones. These two year contracts are total BS. Month to month from now on.
has anyone noticed that with the nexus you can get a sub for $180 and the reg for $530
sub plan $80/mo
unsub $60/mo
price difference over 2 years?
$480
difference b/w sub and unsub phone?
$350
the sub phone and plan are a total loser by the tune of $130
I saw this article (http://lifehacker.com/5441380/current-crop-of-smartphones-a-cost-and-feature-comparison)(with nifty chart!) on Lifehacker. It's a comparison of the iPhone, Pre, Droid & Nexus One.

i'm not into the whole google-ness of android. i dunno. anyone with me on that? hence, the pre. i've watched some reviews of the pre plus, and it looked pretty good. just waiting for it to come out and try out the keyboard.

i'm totally into the open platform and googley ness of the android system.
using a phone w/ a closed platform from a traditionally closed company mixed w/ AT&T just doesn't work well for me...
I'm considering picking up an unlocked nexus and just dealing w/ edge until my contract expires in a few months.
3g iphones are going for like 275 on ebay right now... that's nuts. and they'll be worth less when the 4th gen comes out in june/july.

you can hack the pre and install an on screen keyboard. I like that you can tether it as well and make it a mifi so you can use your laptop and your phone data plan to surf the web wherever you are.
