I'm currently planning a trip to Orlando Florida in a few months, and have been tossing around the idea of having a prepaid cell while I'm there (for 10-14 days).
Right now, I have a Samsung Omnia II WinMo phone, but it's the GSM/HSPA one - not the Verizon one. I realize that a prepaid plan won't give me data, but I don't need data while I'm there. I'm looking to get it unlocked by my current carrier (Bell Mobility) so as to avoid roaming fees.
Just curious what providers you guys could recommend that work on GSM frequencies (HSPA/3G isn't a requirement). Ideally I'd want to set up an account online and have them ship a SIM to Canada if it's possible.
Yes, I realize some may question why bring my smartphone with me at all - but it's also my MP3 player and my GPS (via standalone app with maps loaded on an SD card), so whatever I do, this phone will be with me on the trip.
