suckage: side effects

Why is it that in order to fix one problem, the medications do all sorts of other annoying things? I really don't enjoy the random bloody noses my sinus medications are causing.
granted, things could be a lot worse but its still a pain.

Every time I go to the Dr. which is not often now, I leave with a fist full of prescriptions. Most of which I chuck, except my migraine meds. which I would not be able to get out of bed without. They also have side effects but it is a trade off.

The thing that really gets me is how hard medication especially anti-depressants are pushed at the general public. They are pushing Prozac, Paxil (yes both of these have very real sexual side effects) and a hundred other types of antidepressants for everything from PMS to shyness, WTF does everyone have to be outgoing and friendly?

It's called squeezing every possible penny outta your products/patents, and companies have huge marketting departments working round-the-clock on these things. :heh:

Too bad the general public is gullible enough to fall for most of these. :disa:
