I have back pain and numbness in my arms from shoveling tons of snow. I tried my best to shovel a little at a time, bend at the knees, etc after it was done falling. For this second round estimated between 12-18 inches, I plan on going out every 3-4 hours and brushing snow off the car and shoveling around my car. My thinking is it'll be less weight, more frequency and just plain easier. Then I thought, all those people around me are just going to dump their excess on my spot. Should I continue or resign myself to jerks are going to be jerks?

your plan is your best bet...unless you buy a snow blower. you using a big shovel? sometimes you're just picking up too much, its better with higher totals to lift less more often. and if you can avoid it, don't fling the snow off the shovel, just drop it

i agree with Yossarian less is best.
but best maybe to just pay a kid to do it for you. problem is finding a kid willing to leave his xbox.

Pay the kid with Mass Effect 2.
My strategy is living somewhere it doesn't snow.
