Dumb Cd-RW Probelms

Well recentlyI was dusting out my case and i removed the ide cable and reinserted it and now when i start my computer it wont regester or it will say not atapi compadable and then it wont show up in win 98 im running a P3 600
128 ram
7200 rpm
20 maxtor hd
ati all in wonder 32 mb
toshiba dvd
im not sure of the mother board
or the cdr company and i really need this cdr to work thanks for the help in advance

just get/try a new cable. you probably messed it up when you pulled it out.

or you attached it the wrong way... remember the red marking signifies pin 1

Well im positive i put the wire in the right way so i guess ill just go buy a new wire thanks
