I REALLY REALLY REALLY would love to know how to burn a CD-RW to play with this thing..

i have some CD-Rs burnt.. and when I pop em in.. nothing happens..

BUT.. when i put in a CD-RW .. the player reads it... then tells me it doesn't support that format....

i am using easy cd creator 4.xxx the latest one out.....

is the program wrong? how should i burn the cd??

are you just burning the file to the cdrw?
You need to use the Video CD program.

First off if you use Nero 5 it has a option in the wizard to create a video cd. That's what I have used. Second, What do I have to do to get that video?

if you have AGENT (not FREE AGENT) newsgroup reader...

they post it at alt.binaries.movies every couple of weeks....

I haven't had very good luck with newsgroups and movies. It seems that some always forgets one or two files within a grouping or something stupid like that. Has anyone else experienced this. Where else is there good places to get movies?

for the newsgroups...... you DO know that you can request partial postings right????

and anywyas...... just retrieve ALL HEADERS for the group. and do a search for that file.. it's bound to be there SOMEWHERE>.....

chances are... if you didn't get it. a lot of other people didn't either....


so I get NERO right? i try to burn an image...... and it HAS TO BE MPEG!!! so .... most of my stuff are avis...... but i manage to find an mpg...... but it isn't in the right format!!

what can I use to convert my AVI's to MPEG (right format for the video CD).... an dmy MPG to another format of MPGs?

If the avi's are similar in size to the mpegs then they are mpegs, AVI is a general Microsoft name for a video file. The encoding on an AVI file could be anything, try changing the extension to .mpg and see if it still works, if so then its an mpeg file.

Check this site, It's the best how-to site I know of for almost all video formats. You might have to do a little digging though.
