I'm sorry to hear that.
I don't know how they were doing it all along, but OUTPOST has had the best service I have ever seen anywhere. I have ordered at 5pm, and Airbourne would make the delivery at 8am. A first class operation.
I think they should offer UPS Ground, or better yet, USPS. I'm not usually in a big rush, and paying a big S&H charge when I need a small purchase will cause me to buy elsewhere.
I'm afraid a lot of great deals will be drying up as sellers realize they need to make a profit to stay in business.
Ten years from now, when you talk about the "deals" you got in 2000, those that were not here will think you are BS'ing them.
We know the "BS" is for "bargain shopper"!
Sure has been fun!!

Here's lies Outpost.com..
supplier of cheap CD-R's w/ free overnight shipping...
we'll miss you..
motaboda -- you're right about them needing to offer another low class shipping priority.. why should I spend $9 (2nd day air) shipping for a CD-R order that costs me $22 all together?
Either that, or I'll have to order somewhere near 10 or 11 spindles to get over $100 and get my free shipping..
And that's something that puzzles me.. My CD-R orders never came to more than 5 or 6 lbs in total.. but they will ship it free if I order 10, which comes to 50 or 55 lbs.. shouldn't that be more expensive?
oh well..

Say it ain't so. The Airborne guy and I are on a first-name basis. I will lament the nights you'd realize you needed a $3 audio cable to finish a system, or wanted a $5 USB motherboard cable at 11pm, and the Airborne guy was ringing the bell at 9am. Even on larger ticket stuff, the prices are very competitive and the service can't be matched.
I'm sorry, I have to go now before I get tears on my keyboard and have to order another one...and pay for shipping.

My dad had purchased a computer and needed a printer cable. Wal-Mart, CompUSA, and Best Buy were selling them for upwards of $25. Outpost had them for $9 + free overnight shipping. I ordered the cable at 9pm, and it was at my dad's front door at 9am the next morning.
The kicker to all this was that my credit card was never charged :D I have no idea what happened, but I sure wasn't complaining!
