my coworker has tried it...he liked it well enough, but fair warning - it's really easy to just sit there and suck on it constantly, so much so that you get sick from too much nicotine. Follow the directions.

Must be a problem with collecting the usual cigarette taxes on it. ;)

I did Chantix for a couple of weeks to take the edge off, and it has been over three years tobacco-free for me (after ~30 years of a pack of Marlboro Reds a day).

I had made half-hearted attempts in the past. I found I really had to be able to totally believe I was DONE with smoking to make it work.

No kidding. We're about as bad as California as far as budget woes go.

I think the meat behind the law outlawing them was that if any device that delivers nicotine isn't approved by the FDA, then you can't use it.

Interesting article. I still can't believe there's people out there that smoke 3 packs a day. That's insane.

Well what's Oregon, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and New York's excuse?

I thought I read somewhere that the nicotine is hardly absorbed into the system via these electronic cigarettes so it makes them virtually useless. But yet there are a ton of folks who are quitting smoking using them...is it just a mind over matter thing where they are convinced it's actually working?

i will say the 16 mg set up my wife order for me is very harsh. making me cough if i take too big a drag from the unit. it maybe because i normally smoke lights and its like a reg. cigarette.
