These Florecent bulbs fit normal household lights. They only use 20 Watts, and produce the same output as a 75 W bulb.

Guess not many people found this useful...Oh well. I just wanted to let people know, I got my two bulbs, and they are great. Way brighter than I expected. Now I just have to figure out where to install them.

It's a great deal, we really need these in CA, too bad they are only for OR folks.

FYI, IKEA sells compact fluorescent bulbs relatively cheaply, about $4-$5 each. I bought several a few months ago and they seem to be generating quite a bit of savings for me.

What was the wattage on the ones you bought from IKEA? And do they have a brand name on them?

They only sell items under their brand name, and I got 6,9,11, and 20 watt bulbs there.

Since we're talking about lightbulbs, wattage, and saving energy.... anyone know how much wattage goes into those icicle lights? I have them all over my living room to light the place, but I'm wondering if a bunch of lamps would be cheaper.

Just as a defense to UCSD students.... you don't see anyone on this thread complaining about this post only applying to people in OREGON!! On behalf of me.... it's all good and so are other local deals! And so are THE SD POSTS! You're all just jealous!

Well personally, I don't have a problem with the UCSD posts. This is a Got deals? forum. Not a "Got Deals? That apply to the entire country" :) Did anyone complain about the Free Donuts?? I've never even heard of the donut shop that was giving those away :) I think any deal is a good deal :) Even if it doesn't appply to me :)
