I know this is in the wrong forum, but does anyone know if there's a new free car report link from carfax.com? The old one doesn't seem to work anymore. Or maybe are there any other used car report sites that are offering free reports?

carfax.com does offer a free report. there is a link on the main page. its a big blue and yellow image that you click on. it says "free record check. click here." lower down it says free lemon, flood, and recall check. each one of those are separate things to click on though.

Carfax does not give out free VIN reports. If you click on free "record check" that's exactly what you get. They check the records and tell you that "yes, they do have a report on file" and please pay $19.95 for a 60 day membership so that you can get the details on that particular vehicle. Ant: if you still need a VIN report, email me with the VIN and I will forward the complete report to you. I have about 22 days left on my 60 day membership!:)
