:( No one gets paid the balance in their account if it is below the minimum payout amount ($50). There goes my $13.

*sniff, sniff*

I still remember that first day when I got that email saying the ALLADVANTAGE viewbar had finally come out. Oh what a cruel, cruel world. Damn you all!! DAMN YOU for taking advantage of a poor, poor company just trying to make a decent dollar! You ANIMALS!!! ALL OF YOU!!

(just kidding.. I milked them for all they were worth back in the day when they were actually paying like 50c an hour... hehe... just like everyone else did... F*** 'EM!!! Psshh... pay us to run stupid adds on our computer screens. Damn Communists! They deserved FAKE SURF and everything else that came to them!! All you (and newly recruited me) GOT APEX-ers did good. Kudos to us all and all like us...)

In 1999, AllAdvantage.com sought to build the first Internet infomediary to create truly interactive, one-to-one relationships. We wish to thank every one of our members for their enthusiastic support in striving for this historic goal.
We are sad to report that the major changes in the marketplace that occurred during the last year now require that we close the AllAdvantage Viewbar and our pay-to-surf, sweepstakes and other incentive programs. For any of your questions, please see the FAQ below. We would like to extend our gratitude to all of our loyal members who have been with us on this great adventure.

For instructions on uninstalling your Viewbar, see the FAQs below.

FAQs:
Q: Why is AllAdvantage.com discontinuing its incentive programs?

A: AllAdvantage was founded on the concept of an infomediary on the Internet… to enable businesses to deliver highly targeted messages and to pass that value back to the consumer. Since our founding in 1999, the advertising and capital markets have changed so fundamentally that it is now impossible to continue our infomediary incentive programs and benefits, including the Viewbar software.

Q: Will I be able to continue surfing with the Viewbar and accruing rewards?

A: No. The Viewbar will no longer be supported. As a result, your Viewbar may become inoperable on your machine (even as a navigation, organization and search application). Therefore, we have provided instructions below on how to uninstall the Viewbar. Furthermore, the pay-to-surf and sweepstakes incentive programs have also ended. This includes the rewards for direct and indirect referrals, and any drawings. As such, “green light” surfing will no longer be available, even if your Viewbar might temporarily indicate a green light.

Q: How do I un-install my Viewbar?

A: In Windows, go to the “Start” Menu. Go to “Settings” and select the “Control Panel.” Now double-click the icon for “Add/Remove Programs.” When the list of your applications comes up, select the AllAdvantage Viewbar program and then click remove. For Macintoshes, delete the entire “AllAdvantage” folder and all of its contents. Then go to the “System” folder and open the “Extensions” folder. Delete the Viewbar Extension file. Finally, within the “System” folder, open the “Control Strip” folder. Delete the Viewbar Module file.

Q: What about the credits on my account page?

A: As specified in the Viewbar Agreement, credits accrue for surfing and become payable only upon reaching the payment threshold. Given the deactivation of the Viewbar and incentive programs, no further surfing credits will accrue. Sweepstakes winners and members who have reached the payment threshold will be paid. Pursuant to the Viewbar Agreement, however, no payments are due for credits beneath the payment threshold. This includes accounts that have been suspended, or placed “on hold,” resulting from breach of the terms of membership.

Q: What will happen to the information AllAdvantage has?

A: AllAdvantage will absolutely maintain its policy of not selling, leasing, distributing or disclosing any information to any third-party company or person.
