i go to a specialty shop they can be a pain. you have to have a wire harness installed to. also best hitchs out there are reese and drawtite!
also spend the extra and go to a large CLASS III . remember the ball and tung are extra to .i use a ball that i can swap the head on .there 3 diffrent sizes it came with. this has saved me many times using diffrent trailers. hope i have help and not got you more confused ~

just a fyi most dealers just sub out the hitchs and get a very large markup .
ps also there is diffrent types of ele.plug hook up check your trailer or what your towing to see what kind of plug needed !
Doesn't u-haul sell hitches?

I got one of these installed - http://www.hiddenhitch.com/
I called the closest dealer & they came out to my house & installed it right in my driveway. This was about 5 years ago so NO idea of the cost, but it seemed pretty reasonable.

I used hiddenhitch as well. Fairly easy to install...

If you're looking for something to support a bike rack (like I did), I purchased a Class 1 Curt hitch from Ebay specifically made for my 2010 Prius. Because it was specific to my car, I was able to install on my own in less than 30 minutes. Came with great directions and as long as you have a ratchet wrench extender (12 inch), it is a snap.

I'd stick with a class 2 hitch if you can as it will be more versatile.

uhaul is actually the largest hitch installer in the country....

thanks for the info, guys! it would be first for a bike rack, but dunno what i may upgrade to. since it's a 4-cylinder CR-V, nothing big.

4-cylinder CR-V just go class 1. I'd not try pulling much with this suv. maybe a small pop up camper !
