do you have it on your contract ?
and if you do have you used it ?

I have the insurance but the thing that gets me is. most phones the carrier will just swap you with a refurb unit. they dont exchange your bad phone with a new unit .and most are not aware that is what you get as a replacement.

Waste of money since there's a deductible on top of your monthly fee. For an expensive smartphone, the deductible is pretty high.

I would just buy an used phone on craigslist/ebay if I lost my phone.

I don't buy it either. I always have a box full of older phones I never got around to selling on eBay for one reason or another.

If my current phone bit it, I'd just use one of those.

I generally have it, but that's only because as stated in the other phone thread, Im reimbursed by my job.

Almost 4 years ago I told Sprint I didnt want it with my new phone, but they "accidentally" left it on, and when I had started this job they said they would pay for the entire bill so I left it there.

So far I've used it twice. When I ditch this job, I'll drop the insurance ($7 + tax & fees) and to a lower minute plan ($20 + taxes & fees) which should drop my bill down to about $65ish a month...not bad for 500min free calls to any cell unlimited internet and text.

I don't use it. And, as said, it is a ridiculous deductible for the nice smart phones.
