with AT&T on the tiered data plan and verizon soon to go that way, how much do you guys actually use?
as for me, over the past 10 days (that's when i started tracking), i've only used 177.15MB.

I'm using around 500MB or so a month (especially if I forget to turn on my phone's Wi-Fi radio while at home). Never used more than 1GB.

At least I managed to jump in on my carrier's 6GB for $30 promo. While not unlimited like you guys generally can get, it's not bad by Canadian standards.

I don't think I've ever gone over 1GB.
Also, of the 60 or so iPhone users at work, there are only 2 that ever go above 1GB - both are streaming video to their phones (Netflix & sports).
My company is still grandfathered into the AT&T "unlimited" plan, and I don't think it will be a huge impact on us when we're forced to pick one of the new smaller plans.

I've gone over 2GB once I think. But that was with a ton of Pandora and Netflix usage. Normal months probably .5-1 GB.

Over 500MB per month
Some months I went over 1GB.

I was pumped when AT&T went to the tiered since I only use a few hundred MB a month. Saved me $15 a month being about to go to the lower plan rather than have to pay $30 for the unlimited that I never used.

that was exactly my reaction... i figured i used gigs but when i checked it's between high 300's and 400's... I'm a pathetic android user but i'm almost always on wifi at home.

between 200-400 mb, which is amazing to me considering how much I surf on my phone.

My usage is also low, because I use the same homepage (list of links) I made back when I had a Treo600 6-8 years ago. Everything is a mobile link, and one is even using an Avantgo link.

^heh i'm definitely not that conservative.
i really wish the a-hole cell companies would give us more plan options... 500megs would be just about perfect... 200 is ridiculous for $15.

I've used 571 mb so far this month. I still have 10 days left. I'll be glad when 4g is more widespread and Sprint stops charging a 10 dollar premium for it.
Funny, I've only used 8/450 minutes. 518 texts :)

Update: In 6 days I've used 202,303KB
And apparently an app is being released for the palm which does TED videos. So, I foresee my usage climbing if I continue to go wifi-less

ok, i went a whole month (10/7/10-11/6/10) all on 3G with perhaps <15 minutes on wifi. 627.41MB used.

i pretty much went a month w/o wifi, w/ relatively limited usage and i came up with 775 megs... so about double what my regular usage w/ wifi is.

A lot of AT&T people I know that switched to the 200mb plan are showing 'shadow charges' and having to deal with them. The only thing it appears to be is AT&T pushing people to go with 2GB + plans when they don't need them.
I'm sticking to unlimited.

I'm hanging onto my unlimited AT&T plan as long as I can, but I'm afraid next time we re-up the corproate contract they'll force us to switch to one of the limited plans. The good news is that our contract is up mid-next year, so hopefully Verizon will be selling the iphone then - that'll take some of the pressure off of AT&T (and give us a little more room to negotiate!)

My iPhone uses a lot of data, and I bet Android users use a lot of data too. Blackberry won't be as much since BB doesn't download the images.

My work phone uses about 1 GB per month.
The real kick in the pants is I'm on the unlimited plan. If I want tethering, I have to go to the 2GB cap, when I will probably push past the 2GB limit. I grilled my ATT reps for this one.
Sprint on the other hand, told me that there will not be a cap on their 4G plans as they WANT you to use it as much as you can over 3G. (It's easier on their network as you will be on and off the network much faster.)
I'm strongly considering cancelling my personal verizon phone. I have no reason to watch them keep screwing their customers through their billing.

I couldnt not use my wifi at home like I planned. I think I ended up going 17days into the billing cycle before I used it, but I was still on track for using around 1GB a month.
