Ok I just rebuilt my machine but had this probelem before upgrade. My computer hangs in windows. No apparent reason and comes at different times. I believe it is a hardware issue with my soundblaster live card. If there any diagnostic that will tell me what PCI card is the culprit or which IRQ I am having problems with. I do have the latest SBLive drivers. What is the best approach for isolating these types of problems.

My setup:
ASUS A7V
tbird 900
128mb pc133
30 gb ata 66
4.3 gb ata 33
3dfx Voodoo Banshee
USB DSL modem
56k PCI modem
1394 firewire card
cordless p2s mouse/keyboard
45x CDROM

Well, sometimes you can get a DMA conflict that doesn't show up under devices. What I'd try to do is move the sound card to a slot that doesn't share resources - have it sit off by it's lonesome. Move those cards around a bit.

You could also try the old remove one card at a time to see what card seems to cause a problem.
