Even though it's way out of my budget, I was happy to see this because I like the car...

Ford is also introducing a new Police Interceptor though.
Twin turbo V6 :)

That's great news - that car has always been on my short list. Unfortunately, the RWD is not conducive to driving in Michigan - if they did an AWD version I'd be on my way to the dealer now.

Just go buy a Subaru in that case. :D

The shame of being hauled away to jail in a FURD...

/me hangs head low at the thought.

Where's that cop with the Charger Interceptor? :heh:

they're saying it's going to be the next caprice.

on edit: oh wait, that seems like it's an older article...

Same in IL. Pretty much the same rules as a motorcycle...you can't drive it half the year. The car at the top of my list is a 240sx though, and that's RWD...

DF, the STI (although a car I love) isn't exactly a V8 :) Although a quick youtube search shows people drifting in their v8 swapped STI's. :bonk:

It’s best for my budget. But I don’t like Pontiac G8

Rumor is there's an AWD Malibu on the way - that'll probably be top of the list when my lease expires at the end of the year.

i think its returning to be used as a platform for a El Camino type pickup. GM drop so much money into bring one to Pontiac's line up before they pulled the life line on Pontiac.
they even started the production line in Europe. its called a HOLDEN UTE

i had a dodge charger as my last company car. it was RWD and really wasn't all that bad in the snow. it had almost a 50/50 weight distribution (even had the battery in the trunk to help) and had a traction control and electronic braking systems built by daimler which were quite effective in dealing with slippery conditions.

Honestly you guys know that I LOVE my 300C (which is just a charger with a tux on).. However I don't drive it in the snow due to fears of damaging my chrome wheels. :D

But yeah, the traction control system on that car is awesome... (maybe too awesome if you wanna have "fun".. but hey, that's what the "off" button is for to switch into "fun mode". :D )

Since they're already doing a police car (http://www.chevroletcapriceppv.com/), it makes sense that they'd do a civilian version as well...

The Caprice PPV is a long-wheelbase variant of the Pontiac G8.
