I need to stream something across the web

At work, we are working on something confidential with a 3rd party. They want to show us some media file, but will not send it to us, despite a NDA. They wanted to use video conferncing to share the media, but we are between units right now.

I'm really strapped for time and there's nothing readily obvious on the web for someone who's never done this before.
(WMP has some streaming but it's meant for LANs, Expression Encoder has some streaming but I haven't figured out how to make it work.)

Does anyone know of a way to stream something across the internet and keep it protected so that only the intended party can view it?

I thought you can use ustream and make it private/protected....

You could use Webex. Have them record the presentation and then view the recording.

The quality probably won't be what you wanted though.

Tandberg makes a client package that you can run on a PC to connect to their Videoconference unit, and I believe Polycom does too. If you can find out what VC hardware they have & whether they can connect it to the internet, you might be able to connect to it with a laptop & webcam.

Kinda silly for them to think it's secure, tho. Just need to run Camtasia recorder in the background to grab everything that happens on the screen.

we ended up borrowing a video conference unit from our vendor and they couldn't get the feed to send. So they put the video up on a laptop screen and put it in front of the damn camera. All for a movie trailer that's not official.
(The movie is in post production and has been announced: Gotta love *pointless* MPAA secrecy.)

wow. what a pretty stupid way of sharing some unofficial, unofficial trailer between companies that you already have NDA's with.
