Is it just me or is this starting to get ridiculous? How many years do you think it will take for phone companies to completely take over everything else? (lower end cameras/video cameras, mp3 players, GPS, ect.)

how long till you don't need a wallet just your cell phone. lets see all your credit cards will be imputed into them .your drivers license, passport, blood type , med alerts , even your medical records

The Nexus S has an RFID chip in it already, I believe, so the technology is already there.

I think there will continually be a drive for less number of gadgets, aka all-in-one gizmos that'll do everything well. before you get a camera phone, you get a phone with a sucky camera. now the camera's are getting pretty decent on a phone. garmin sees this, and went into the phone market. tomtom has the phone app. the gps companies see the future and are trying to do the right thing in planning ahead.

but in terms of 3d phone... eh... i'd have to see it to see if it's really good. i'm stil wondering how the nintendo gameboy 3d (or whatever it's called now) does their 3d.

There was a guy from some city that uses rfid cards for their metro cards. he melted it out of the card and put it in the back case of his phone.

Now he just swipes his phone to get on the train.
