It sure as hell wasn't the half time show. Might as well have called it the "Fergie out-louds everyone else while offkey for 15 minutes" show."
It's sad that the only half time show I thought was any good was Prince's. I don't even like prince and I thought that one kicked ass.
But I digress.

Personally, I kinda enjoyed the half time show... I'm just mad that they didn't do "Imma bee"... cause I really do like that song.

You couldn't have paid me to watch that halftime show. We drew straws to see who would be the sacrificial lamb to turn on the TV and see if it was over.

The half time show was still better than watching a dumb blonde butcher the national anthem.
F_ck me.

Really... the GLEE girl kicked Christina's ass in the battle of the anthem singing. Why does Christina always have to add so much yodeling to things? Just sing it girl! (Oh, and learn the words or put up a teleprompter cheat sheet)

I didn't like the BEP at all. Maybe it sounded great in the stadium but at home it was horrible.
I like the Teleflora one. I should use his message in my note.

Aguilara screwed up, but shes done it before without incident so I dont fault her that much.
The halftime show sucked ass. Wardrobe designers were retards, Fergie was the worst part of the whole thing, and if that's what BEP sounds like in concert than mgmt should have realized it'd be a bad show.

I liked the Eminem one, it was intense. First time I actually thought Detroit was in the midst of a comeback.
Anyone see where they caught Cameron Diaz on camera at the SB hand feeding ARod some popcorn?
Aren't those kids cute? :kawaii:

Seriously, take away all their special effects and it would be interesting. I'd like to hear them all a capella just once.

They should look here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqAcfy5G23k) to learn how to do the national anthem.
And to hear what it sounds like from the crowd's perspective, here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ1gBgDblC0).

that's awesome. i could hear them cheering from my house.
haha. not really. but i would love to go to a hawks game to hear that in person. do you know how the crowd knew in advance that's what they should do during his performance? have that many of them been to a hawks game?

The crowd was probably used to the atmosphere when he sings at the Hawks games (and watching on tv). The tradition there is to start cheering at your loudest when the singing of the anthem starts and increase the volume to maximum when he hits "oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave" though the end. (And yes, it goes from loudest to maximum. :hihi:)
My boys and I went to a Hawks game last year. I had been to a few games years ago when they played at the (now demolished) Chicago stadium.

Really?
I saw on Google News that apparently that one got good reviews, but I just dont see it.
I didnt find it amusing, i didnt find it that memorable, and outside of the fact that on second watching I paid particular attention to who the commercial is for; I think if you asked most people, they wouldn't remember.

there was another commercial for chrysler bragging about the mettle of detroit, with Slim pulling up in a chrysler at the end.
I wonder if he'll mention those wheels in his next album?

Anytime I hear that instrumental part from "Lose Yourself" just before the lyrics start up it sounds like something intense is going to take place, and that commercial featured it:

That is what made me watch the commercial, and them Em himself showed up. Memorable for me.

Seriously, people will complain about EVERY halftime show.
Did you remember last year's show? It wasn't even remotely entertaining... This year they had "pretty lights" and whatnot. At least they did extend some effort to coordinate all that choreography to make it all come together.
I bet they could have put Beyonce out there for a show and people would still complain... (oooh... she had a costume malfunction and my kids are scarred for life. SUE SUE SUE!!!) It just gets to a point where you will never make everyone happy so why bother trying. Maybe folks would just prefer to skip the halftime show and just listen to Troy Aikman and Joe Buck prattle on about what was happening in the game.... (yawn).

I thought people turn to the puppy bowl (women) or the bikini bowl (men) during halftime...

You'll never be able to please everyone 100% of the time, but I'll say it again; the general consensus of the people I know liked the Prince halftime show.
I think they did that one very well.
