I stopped drinking soda daily a few years ago and now I only drink it if eating at a fast food place (less than once a month probably). I can now wear a belt that I bought in high school, albeit on the very last hole. :) I also cut back on coffee from 2-3 large cups a day to 1 large cup a day. But that's it--I'm not giving up my daily coffee.

on average maybe a can of coke once a month. I prefer the real sugar Pepsi, but coke is what places I order from for lunch carry.

No soda, but I drink pop ;-)

Full sugar, full caffeine Coke

Right now I mostly drink Coke Zero, Sprite Zero, Diet Dr. Pepper, and Diet Cherry 7 UP.

Yeah, I haven't kicked drinkin' soda, but at least they're 0 calories and 0 carbs. :D

I typically drink 1-2 12oz diet cokes w/splenda per day. I used to drink 2-3/day, but I have scaled back my consumption of carbonated drinks over the past year.

I'm trying to cut down. I only drink pop at work since (fortunately and unfortunately) we have a free soda dispenser. I'll probably drink about 4-5 8oz cups a day...sometimes more.
I don't drink pop at home, however.

You beat me to it. I actually almost never drink soft drinks. Water's good enough for me.

When I was living in the Dominican Republic the soft drink sweetening was straight from sugar cane. Amazing in your mouth and horrible for your teeth. Most people came home and couldn't touch the stuff here.

Too much bad stuff in soda. The reason I started this thread is because I think I'm going to stop drinking it completely. Now they are reporting that the caramel coloring (which has nothing to do with caramels as we know them) is carcinogenic. (i know, what isn't?)

I probably only have a soda a week, if that, and that's because I've went somewhere for lunch or something. It's really bad for your teeth/bones whether sweetened or diet because of the phosphoric acid. And then the sugar/corn syrup calories in the high test stuff while the sugar free stuff still makes your body crave sweets.

Does this mean that 7 up and Sprite will become more popular? :D

Liquid candy bar.

That's what I tell myself if I feel like a pop.

Chemical cocktail.

That's what I tell myself if I feel like a diet pop.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When I do give in and have one, it's a Coke.

Soft drinks are from the devil.

Usually it's a regular coke or two per day for me. I really need to cut back...

I average probably 2-3 cans of diet pop per day.

I enjoy the Coke Zero line, Diet Dr. Pepper, and Pepsi Max. I really enjoy "real" pop....but it's just too many calories to be drinking, especially since I sit behind a desk most of the day.

Regular soda all my life until I really let myself go maybe 9 years ago and was shocked to find myself at 208 lbs (I'm normally about 170-180). Then diet soda for several years, but I quit that for health/financial reasons. It was hard for a couple weeks, but not as bad as I thought it would be. After my morning coffee I drink a LOT of water throughout the day, and a protein drink on the days I hit the gym. My hang-up now is I like to drink one of those McD's large vanilla iced coffees 1-2x a week. Did I mention I like coffee? :)

I occasionaly drink soda with my rum. ;)

I'm a coke drinker, but I go nuts from time to time with IBC Cream soda or Black Cherry.

I usually only drink soda when I'm eating fast food or carry-out.

After advice from my dentist, I switched to flavored water a while ago.

Aguafina flavor-splash wild berry is my favorite. Really hard to find, though.

Different teas seem to help me get off my soda fix. You get the flavor, none of the calories and a good boost of anti oxidants. The only downside to tea is the acidity.

I'm a big tea drinker, mostly green and white teas. But over the winter I've been having mostly black, usually an english breakfast tea blend. Not interested in anything flavored; I like my tea to taste like tea. :hihi:

Well I take that back, there are 2 exceptions. Earl Grey is good, I like the hint of bergamot, and it's simply classic. And I do occasionally have herbal mint tea at night, spiked with peppermint schnapps.

I'm just as surprised. I've cut back a lot. I drink more water now and instant iced tea. However if we are talking in my prime, then I can down a 12 pack in a day or more in college. Sometimes it was just Coke and sometimes it was all Jolt.

At work, I used to have 3 cans of coke (no diet anything). Then I'd go home and have 3 more.
