Im not sure why, but lately I'm hearing more people using their cellphones while in the stall when Im at work. They also seem to linger in the bathroom by the sink remaining on the phone.

Is this happening for any of you as well?

i learned on my blackberry wasn't a week old and it fell in the Toilet. i was so lucky it landed face-down and I pulled it right out. the phone died but the water damage spot didn't turn pink. i took it back and got a brand new replacement (not a reconditioned unit). I did have to run to a factory store not a franchise shop.

Im not complaining, just curious. I figure the person on the other end must hear the echoing, occasional flushing, etc...

I also use mine in the stall, but not to talk, I generally read Fark.com or go through my google reader list to star off stories i want to read later.

I can't stand it when they're talking on the phone in the bathroom. I make sure to make everything louder. if they're in the stall and i'm at a urinal, i'll go and flush multiple urinals. I'll hack up a loogy, use the hand dryer instead of paper towels.

I guess I didn't think cruel meant using them AS a phone. I think it's pretty ridiculous to hold a conversation on your cell phone in the crapper.

i try not to touch anything outside of restroom related stuff when i'm in the restroom

eh, i have done it. not habbitualy but it happens, Im married to my phone so it goes everywhere with me

i'm fine if people wanna text/email/surf/play games or even listen to voice mail in the stall if they want (i do that). but once they actually start talking with other folks... gets on my nerves.

I've been on the other end a few times and asked the person, "Dude...are you in a bathroom??" I really don't care if they're talking to me on the crapper, but it seems weird. I don't do it. I'll text or what not sometimes on the pot.

I usually start making noises. Loud groans, flush a few times... usually they wrap the call up pretty fast.
