You forgot to Zero out DarkFury's Post count..

Now that is just mean. It would take him a day or two to get back to 25,000 posts.

Thanks for bearing with us! We have a dedicated server on a RAID 1 (mirrored) configuration. We would have been fine and dandy if one of the drives failed. However, we didn't expect for the RAID controller to fail. Since that happened, both the mirror drives had massive corruption and each of our 150 tables needed to be rebuilt. It was just one problem after another, which is why it took so long.

We are currently looking to upgrade our software and hardware to make sure this never happens again! We are also excited to upgrade the software to give you guys a better experience with the site.

We learned a lot from utilizing Facebook. Some people liked the Facebook format and some hated it. But what we found invaluable is the ease in which you can reply to a specific deal. We will be implementing that in the next software as well as some other features.

The facebook thing didn't do anything for me. I quit that place a while ago due to chronic and never-ending privacy issues and I have anything from facebook.com blocked by my browser. Facebook = zero in my book.

Honestly the first thing I thought when I saw the site was down and the news about a massive crash was:

"wouldn't it suck for DF if post counts where unrecoverable?"

Been there... done that.

You must were not here when Got|Apex got hijacked and the top 3 poster postcounts were removed about 10 years ago. That was when Dopey and I were both heading to 10K posts.... so long ago.

And after all this time the second largest postcount is only about half of what yours is.

yeah...most of those were in the "heyday" of G|A when topics were poppin'

Not so much action here... so I'm sure my average has slowed WAY down from what it used to be.
