Monitor goes out :(

I bouught this Hitachi SuperScan 813 21" monitor off of Gabe "yes, our favorite deal man himself" a few months back and I'd never give this one up for any reason except for the fact that it goes into "Power Save" mode all the time :(
I do a lot of online gaming "Q2-3, UT, NOLF, and even some Half-Life ..still" but initially every game I come across plays a bit and then the Monitor goes out , and I mean to where I need to reset my computer to get back out of it !!
This is lame and we all know that but you know what's lamer?..
well I'll tell you, I Just installed 1.5+ GBs of Diablo 2 and I only barely got past the newbie bashing before it happened once again !
I'm pissed because I got this game to get my mind off my recent troubles and now I'm more pissed than depressed at this moment.. Help me Please
I'm using Win98 with a GF2 and the .inf from Hitachi that was designed for the monitor,
I'm sure I can give you all the info you need if you tell me what you need to know to get beyond this mess.

What kinda motherboard are you utilizing? You need to jump into the bios and see if power saving is controlled by operatings system, or if it's controled by your bios. After that, shut it off! Try right clicking on your desktop, and click on the screen savers tab. Goto power savings settings and select computer "on all of the time".. Lemmek know what happends.
