I got a nice little annoyance that someone(hopefully) can give me some help on:
I have a abit be6 motherboard with P3 450. I don't know what the HD is but i'll post that info later(at work right now). I've installed Win2k on the machine and it runs fine. But I installed it with the HD on the UDMA33 IDE channel (the mb has 4 channels; 2 for UDMA33 and 2 for UDMA66 using a Highpoint chipset). I then installed the latest drivers for the Highpoint UDMA66 channels under Win2k. They install fine. So I want to use the faster IDE UDMA66 channel and connected the HD onto it(The HD is UDMA66). But when Win2k loads up, it gets to the first loadup screen(after the 'dos' loadup) and locks up. What's the deal? Currently i'm using the regular UDMA33 channel, but would really like to use the faster UDMA66 channel(i know it aint THAT much faster.. but I can always dream =))
I didn't overclock the CPU and I have the latest drivers for the mb loaded and don't know what else to do.
