After a little more effort on my part I've found drivers for Win2K.
I'm so much happier now. I was dreading the idea of dual booting the two OS's.
HP OfficeJet 710 drivers for Win2K Pro now available at the HP website.

I have Win2k Pro installed right now.
Purchased an HP officejet 710 but the software isn't supported on Win2k.
So I'm thinking i can just install 98 and dual boot them.
Is it as easy as booting off the 98 disk and installing it on a FAT32 partition?
Anyone have any pointer they'd be willing to share?

It's best if you start with Windows98 and then add Win2k later.

Makes sure not to convert the file system from FAT to NTFS, otherwise after installing Win2k, you won't be able to boot Win98.
As for HP not having Win2K drivers for printers, how about my scanner, it's been months since they said they would release a driver. I've basically given up on using my scanner. :woo:

I really expected better support from them :disa:

Who doesn't? When you hear Hewlett Packard you expect quality customer service and quality products. That's not what I got with the HP ScanJet 5200. I've had to exchange it once at the store, send it in after calling long distance for three days straight. Now everytime I move the thing further than a few feet I have to whack the stupid thing cause the "drive" mechanism will jam itself in some God-forsaken way.
I must say, HP makes some great professional grade printers at high prices, but I say just stick to that. After my experience with this scanner, when I got the money to buy a laser printer, I got myself an NEC.

Yeah I remember having no driver support for my scanner too. They did not offer any support for my scanner on their site! HP wanted me to send them money for a disk. Good thing I found the disk somewhere, or else I woulda had to pay for drivers. Wiggidy wack.
