my dumb ass roomate turned it on... and forgot it less then five minuets later... ironic due to the fact that he put it on to keep us out... heh heh... anyways... what can he do?

many ways to get around it.
every bios manufacture has a huge set of back-door passwords that will always let you in. If that doesn't work, just take out the battery off the motherboard for a couple minutes and it'll wipe out the bios.

it's a round metal battery about 1/2" in diameter on the motherboard. also, some motherboards let you just reset it w/ a switch on the mobo.

Or, go to the mobo manufacturer's website, look for a manual, and find the "clear cmos" jumper on the mobo.

after u clear the bios... does everything return back to normal? meaning do i have to go into bios and change stuff for it to be working properly? thanks

Dude it's not a bios password but a cmos passsword just clear the cmos through a jumper, it usually located between the first and second pci slot but to make sure look in the manual

first off you have to look at the MB manual and see where the jumper is. Once you locate it. Depending on MB's you either have to take the jumper off or switch it to another place for a few seconds and put it back. And then you have to reset all your cmos stuff....or you can just buy a new motherboard!! I'd rather do that!!!
