People are happy paying $100 for 64MB of compactflash... why not get double? Do it before midnight and get free shipping since Buy.com has free shipping. Staples is an Authorized Kingston reseller. Thanks Kevin.

Even better, Buy.com dropped the price to $149 today.
No more free shipping at Buy.com, so Staples will
add $5 to that price, but then you can apply the
handy-dandy 30$ off $150 coupons.
Nice on the original find.. I bought it last week
when it was $165. On the phone w/ Staples now
to get it marked down <:
(Staples will also price match up to 14 days AFTER

So basically, the new deal is..
call staples, pricematch the 128MB card at $149, plus $5 shipping at buy.com ($154)
use 30 off $150, making it $124
use $30 mail in rebate, making it $94
only.. staples will charge you tax.

buy the 128 Kingston card for $120 from http://www.newegg.com
(search for kingston 128)
fedex shipping = $7
use $30 mail in rebate, and you're down to $97 shipped
cheaper deal than staples, without the hastle.

I was all ready to buy one...guess I'll have to make due with just my 64 mb card for a while longer, ;)

Ruh roh. Noticed that "authorized reseller" clause on the rebate form as well. Have to be careful too, Kingston has multiple versions of the rebate form on their website. One lists several stores or an authorized reseller (where you fill in the "other field" rather then select a store). Other forms are for specific stores.
If I can contact Kingston on Monday, I'll ask them if NewEgg and Staples are authorized resellers. Will let you all know.
If not, will just go to Staples and return the CF card, and go back to drawing on my hand when my 16M flash card runs out <:
p.s. Yep, NewEgg has a deal (which was posting on GotApex) for Viking 128M CF Memory. Personally, I'd choose Kingston though for speed, but theres nothing wrong with Viking.

Can you verify that it is a raw deal? I checked the rebate form and saw the clause that says authorized reseller, but it does allow you to fill in an "other" field if your own is not listed.
(Several stores, then "Authorized Retailer").
For questions it says to call a number or email
I'm going to call on Monday,
and tonight fired off an inquiry about NewEgg and Staples
(if they qualify as "Authorized Resellers").

On the Kingston Rebate Form (the one with several stores and "e-tailers" listed), it has a number you can call.
I called to verify that Staples and Staples.com are
participating, authorized retailers in this rebate
program. They said Staples is a-ok.
Here is the number I called:
914-633-0663 (Press #7) I then asked if they'd honor
the rebate if I purchased from Staples.
So here's how it pans out:
~103$ after tax, shipping (buy.com pricematch), the
staples.com coupon code for $30 off of $150, and
the MIR for $30.
