Wrong forum, but I got the Rio Volt and it's awesome. I just upgraded the firmware ont he badboy so it adds some useful features. Kind of expensive I guess, but I think its worth it. It can be had for around 150 i think, at egghead.com.

Quick question: Anyone actually trust Egghead after they got hacked? My impression is that they pretty much denied that anything bad happened... :hmm:

Hey dude, i dunno where you live but in new york we have Classic CD/MP3 players... it's about 100 bucks if you haggle the lowest you will get is 90... it has 150 second shock protection for mp3's and 50seconds for cd's it has an alphanumeric search and a "whole bunch of stuff"(scientific terms of course). However there is no warranty on that sucker so basically if it brakes you are on your own, however i don't know anyone who has ever broken it yet.

By the way, the NEED DEALS forum was a very good idea, but it doesn't work so i think it's cool that he posted his message here, because this forum get's most play.

I have the classic, add a decent pair of headphones (for bass) and you are set! Just use the power adapter, cause it sucks batteries. The only thing missing is a time remaining feature... And gaps between mp3s suck

I have had the RIO Volt for about 3 weeks now and all I can say is that it Kicks @$$. Battery life is great, the screen is backlit and directory browsing is easy. can buy it from store.s3.com for $169 if you don't trust Egghead. It is $20 more than egghead, but I thought it was worth it for the peace of mind.
