Just wanted to say I did this a month ago and they:
Charged my card anyway, even though I used a code at signup. They later credited my account but it wasn't much fun emailing them daily for a week.
It would take them a full two weeks to receive my movies. Must have been their processing procedures. I was never charged for any movies but at one point, after waiting a full two weeks for them to receive a movie, I filled out a lost in the mail form. The next day they said they received it. Futhermore, when I canceled my account at the end of the month, it took another two full weeks for them to receive the last movie I sent them and they sent me emails daily saying they would charge my cc for the movie. The finally received the last movie and I will never do, even free business with them again. Not worth the hassle.

I've been on the 1 month trial for NetFlix for about 3 weeks and let me tell you that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. Since they are located in San Jose, CA and I live in San Mateo, I get the movies the next day after I put them in my queue! They haven't charged my CC yet, so that's a plus. Nothing but good service from them. Just my experience...:)

I did this last year when they had the free month and you could even have 4 at a time. No problems here either, only 2 days each way to central coast California. And that's the key, for left coasters it's great, but right coasters have to wait a bit.

I signed up for a free month and my girlfriend signed up for a free month...and our CC were never charged. I wonder if it's the code you use or maybe they have a new system.
