I just replaced my D-Link DI-701 firewall with a Linksys one that does better port mappings for internet games.
I'll trade the old D-Link firewall for a Linksys hub - preferrably the 8-port 10/100 model, but I guess I'd even settle for the 5-port. Must be the new black/blue stackable type. Then I'll have a pretty stack of Linksys stuff and the Feng Shui of my computer room will be maximized. All will be well...
Otherwise, I'll sell the firewall to anyone who is interested. Amazon has it for $75 + shipping. I'll sell mine for $40. Comes with the box and manual, but no cables - I can't remember if it came with one anyway...
The firewall works fine, it just can't handle more than about 10 port mappings, which is a bummer for some internet games. It's a 'basic' model without many bells & whistles, but it does get the basic job done.
E-mail me if interested at [email protected] Thanks !
