I was thinking about getting a Iomega 8x4x32x CD-RW Drive. Is this CD-RW any good? Isn't this the plextor one, or is that something else? How would this CD-RW rank against other CD-RW's? thanks for help.

i think it is a plextor drive, and plextor makes great drives. If your contemplating getting it, go for it you won't be dissapointed.

I got the Iomega Predator the day it came out. Its the fastest external usb cd-rw there is. Itll have Firewire and USB2.0 support soon. On top of it looking rather cool(in my opinion) it comes with great software. Although it does not utilize burn-proof.

The 12/10/32 is a Plextor model. The models manufactured after Jan 2001 COULD be rebadged Sanyo's and not Plextors. (It's been said that if it has 1 LED then it's a Plextor. If it has two, then it is a Sanyo)
Now now now contrary to belief the drive might be good but returns for the dam ZIP drive are horrible! I worked at BEST BUY and all day long we would get those darn things back I bought one and returned it the next day it messed up and I had to reboot my system not saying that you will get a good one or not if your looking for a plextor just go to http://www.plextor.com sheesh dont waist money on that stuff go directly to the source!
