Looking for free email which allows pop3 access

Is there any free email services around which also allows pop3 access? That way my wife can have her own email address which will import directly into outlook.

I've found using web based services, such as mail.com, is extremely slow to use (even on our dsl). Mail.com has pop3 access, but for a fee.

We can also get a second email address through our isp (verizon), but for a fee.

i think hotmail lets you use outlook.

Yahoo also has free POP access.

Its all setup and works like a charm. Thats definitely the way to go if you have multiple computers on a network and allowed only one email address.
