Well it seems good, but, for me at least, I don't need more HD right now. I just built a new system with a 90GB RAID 0 drive and a 20GB Maxtor. :)

all I know is that this better not suck, because my mom is getting one.

Eh, even with shipping, that's pretty good for a 40 gig, ain't it?

Yo Mama! :)

Personally i'd rather have a 7200rpm 30gig instead of a 5400rpm 40gig. But i guess that all depends on what you do with your computer.

I agree... if it were to be a storage drive, then 5400 is fine.

If it is going to be your main boot drive, then that may even be fine for some people. It all depends on what kind of apps you run. some don't have to load from the HD that much, so you wouldn't see much of a speed difference.

I'm building a 1.2ghz Athlon for my mom...she's going from a 200mhz K2...so...and I'm guessing here...the speed boost from the processor will be more than enough :D

It's my Ma, She plays heroes of might and magic, and plays with photos. Of course, I just found out she uses napster, as she just asked me about napigator....damn, I don't think I know my mother any more.

Funny ain't it? How some times your parents actually manage to shock you with such revelations? :)
