Seems to be a deal, but I am no monitor expert.

All the ones for sale (both at Overstock and at the other stores seem to be refurbs).

List is $379, but there is the $10 off coupon and some that are even better.

Shipping is FREE which should save you a bunch on something that is 80 lbs + like this monitor.

Also if you still have any of those "Internet Cash" things from Echo, Overstock will take them.

Is anyone able to add this to thier cart? I tried on two different machines, and it says I have a problem with my cookies (but I can add other items easily).

Also, I can't find this item on the site without going through that direct link...

Well, I'm looking to upgrade my puny 15"...and as far as I've looked, 21" for $379 seems like a great deal.

This is refurbished...but I don't really mind.

Any monitor experts out there?

Is this a good deal? Or can I find better?

Please let me know!!!

I'm not really an "expert", but I am a computer engineer. The maximum res of this monitor is 1600x1200, and at 85hz, that's respectable. I personally don't run at such a high res because the shit gets small! Anything below 75hz, and you wouldn't want to buy it, because it would be hard on your eyes. I think the only area they are trying to trip you up is in the pitch measurement. Now they say a pitch of .22mm HORIZONTALLY. That's the catch. Dot pitch is the amount of space, in millimeters, that separates two phosphors of the same color. If a monitor has a dot pitch of 0.22, there are 0.22 millimeters from one red phosphor to the nearest red phosphor in an adjacent pixel. But this monitor has a pitch of .22 horizonatally, not a DOT pitch, which can be from any adjacent pixel.

I still think, though, for the price, it's probably worth it. Afterall, it IS a 21" monitor!

They fixed the link... and I just picked placed my order. No tax (CA), and free shipping!

Gonna have to ebay that 19 inch monitor I picked up from Staples during their heydey... Finally I've got a monitor worthy of connecting to my 1.4 GHz Pentium 4 system...

Only drawback I saw was that it is not a flatscreen. Or is it?

No, it's not a flat screen. That would be a steal for $379!

I've been looking for a monitor, but I'm having the same problem. I've tried adding other stuff to my cart, but that's fine. however, when I try adding this monitor, it gives me:
"If you have tried to add an item to your cart and the cart is still empty, you may not have "cookies" enabled on your browser. If you do not know about cookies or how they are used, click here."

I really want this monitor =(
any help?
(also, I tried searching for the monitor via their menus/search engine, but it didn't list it as a result - maybe this thing is a phantom product :P)

That's weird, I got the same thing.

I couldn't add it either even when I tried the link directly from my email.

I also tried logging in first or adding other quantities, but still no luck.

I then went to their home page and it is prominantly advertised there.

None of those links allowed me to add it either.

No idea what is going on

Received this monitor yesterday, and I'm trying to return it today.

This thing is not refurbished, it's plain old "used".

It is dirty, has visible damage on the case, and the display is distorted in some graphics modes.

It was wrapped in a black trash bag, and shipped in a brown box surrounded by that liquid foam stuff. No manuals, no warranty, no documentation at all.

The stamp on the back indicates that it was manufactured in 1997.

I'm just hoping that I can get overstock to pay for the return shipping.

Others who orderd- let me know if it's just me, or if they shipped this garbage to everyone. :(

Nokia monitors are the best monitors available if you can find one in descent shape. Noika sold it's monitor devision to Viewsonic early last year. It is unlikely that you will find a new Nokia monitor floating around. These units on Overstock are the same ones advertised on uBid and Egghead. They are refurbished by the RF Frasier outfit in Virginia. Their idea of refurbishing equipment is to clean it with Windex and ship it out. We bought several 445XPro Nokia monitors from these guys last year and ended up sending all of them back. Most of them looked like they were used in a bookie's backroom and were severly scratched and reeked of cigareete smoke.- Beware

Greetings, sorry to hear bad news about the Nokia monitors @ overstock.

I purchased a Nokia 445Xpro from Ubid about 2 years ago, brand new in factory carton w/all manuals etc.,though I paid about $700.00 shipped.

Still working great, not flat screen but I'm happy. My $0.02

Good shopping.

Any new Nokia 445Xpro that you can find under $800 is a good deal. We have fifteen of them in our offices here and would not trade them for anything including that Sony junk. However, I would stay away from those refurbished "deals" . Nost of these are from the same refurbisher who gets them from the Wall St. crowd
