Allright,
I'm just about ready to enter in my total of nine mags for the best deal subscription and am wondering, what's the catch? even students don't get the crazy rate of $2.95, especially to great mags. Do they automatically charge you the value rate the year after, or send you a notice card? If so, thinking about adding money and using my ecount card. Anyone have any dealings wth them, before I end up having a $200 + / year magazine habit?

I THINK I did this deal a long time ago, when it was $3.95. I'm getting the mag, so I guess everything's copacetic. I AM getting some really annoying e-mails from SOMEBODY, but I can't be sure it's from them.
I'd say the thing is a go.

Apex has personally been in touch with the president of that company. First, there are no catches. :) I'm not exactly sure how they can sell them for only $2.95, but I'm sure it has to be something like they made some deal with each magazine's publisher or something to get a bulk discount. Also, one thing that is totally clear is that when your year subscription runs out, there is absolutely NO recharge. They don't charge your card and keep sending them, assuming you still want the subscription. They MAY send a card to see if you want to buy a subscription again, but nothing is assumed. Make sense? I don't think they even send that, so...
Hope that helps! If you still have questions, I know Apex would be glad to help you. You can email him here:

Ya I got the same thing.... heh and I was also looking to get a renu on my pc gamer subscription, and some others.
Put in magazine...
PC GAMER WITH CD
3 YR - 36 ISSUES . . . GIFT CERTIFICATE VALUE - $44.90
Product Code: PCGX36
Balance due Audit Quantity Unit Total
$44.95 | $44.95 | 1 | $44.95
the audit would be the discount I guess but it doesn't show up... I am not gonna pay 45 bucks. Doesn't work with any of my other mags either... hmmmm

Its not all the magazines on the site. You can only choose from the ~GIFT CERTIFICATE SUBSCRIPTIONS selections. Apex made that clear in the directions on the deal page. :)

You click on the $1500 gift certificate banner. When you get to a list of magazine categories, click on the very first one, something like: "Gift Magazine Subscriptions" Then you can choose from that list only. :)
Oh, and about ordering magazines that you currently get: I ordered 3 subscriptions today, and when I got my email confirmation, it said: "If any of these are current magazines that you are getting, please reply to this email because we have to handle those differently." So I did, and told them which 2 magazines I am currently getting and then those will extend when my current subscription runs out. Make sense?

Also keep in mind that magazines get most of their revenue from advertisers. If your magazine had 1 million subscribers, you can charge X amount of dollar for ad space, but if your readership is now 2 million subscribers, then you can charge even more for ad space. A lot of magazines give huge discounts to get the readership up.

Just picked up Automobile, Car and Driver, FHM, Road & Track, Spin, and Snowboarder for < $20!!! Guess I won't have the excuse of roaming around the bookstore anymore.

I did this deal over a month ago, and still haven't received my two subscription extensions and my new subscription to a third magazine. Is it supposed to take this long?

Yea, it's been about a month for me too and still no mags. Although I think I remember it saying that it could take 6-8 weeks or sometime around there to start receiving. If I dont receive them in the next month I will start to worry. Maybe check the dates and if nothing in two months email Apex for help. I went through his link anyway so I figure I'm sure he'll step in and help out if theres a problem with something he promotes. I know he's been good, not for me but for others on CyberRebate issues.

I've been waiting w/ baited breath for my mags. Everyday I check my box, and alas... only bills, bills, bills. Anyone actually get any mags with this offer?

Publishers give away free subscriptions (they make their money from ads and from reselling their subscribers' info) so this place figures $2.95 is better than nothing and they too resell your info.
Most of the other free mag deals have begun coming thru. My place looks like a waiting room now!

OK I ordered 4 mags for my wife and 5 for me, now she got all her mags, but all 5 of mine are not even close to what I ordered. I wanted Golf, C&D, GQ, FHM, and Maxim.
Now I get Backpacking, 3 different Bicycle Mags, and some other thing like Yachting or something. The reason I know they are from this company, is because my wife and I just got married, she had no mag subs, and I used her name for the mags. This is some crappy shady service.
PS I ordered 3 mths ago, also ordered a Golf sub for dad and he gets Yachting now.

resented, just contact the company. My hubby is getting 4 magazines and I am getting 3 or 4 myself, and they are all correct. I've never had a problem. Did you save your email confirmation?

Hey Resented, is it possible that you signed up for free mags under another site for those? There was a link here in the deals a while back for the types of mags you are referring to, which were free as well, but I dont think for that I provided any cc# or info so they might be coming from there. I know that I just started getting them too (under sea diving, mt. biking, and something else of a sporting enthusiast type). I'm sure I have the paperwork at home from when I ordered those too so if you'd like me to I can check what that link was and see if you can go there and jog your memory. As far as Best Deal Mags, yesterday I officailly got the first issue of the last 3 mags that I was waiting for (out of 13 - like I have time for this!). If you did what I did, order a few, wait to see if it was legit, then order some more, that may be why you are experiencing lag time, if not, I'm sure if you contact the company as Jenny says you will not have a problem. Good Luck and let me know if you want me to look for that link.

I started getting my magazines about three months after signing up.
My mailman hates me now, but I got lots of stuff to read!

I guess I will wait another 2 or 3 weeks before I beat up the rant/rave/cry mode. I just think it is odd that my wife never signed up for those other mags and now she is getting them.
I still don't have my manly mags!!! but my wife has her girly ones...Jenny did you get all subs at once or?

OH and I don't have the receipts....

No, actually, here's how I got all mine...
My hubby's all started coming I think 2 months (or so) after I ordered. He started new subs to each one of his mags. I, on the other hand, ordered 2 the first time (at the same time I ordered his) and both were resubscribing. When my subscriptions ran out 3 months later, I immediately began receiving the new subscription that i had ordered. There was no break between. Then about a month ago, I ordered another magazine and I got my first one of it about 3 days ago. So....
I'd wait a few more weeks and then if you haven't received any of the ones you ordered, then just call Best Deal Magazines (I actually emailed them with a problem/question at the time of my order, and it was handled extremely fast and very well, so...) and they should be able to help. :)

Woo Hoo! I ordered 4 magazines about 2 months ago and just got my first one. This deal is legit. Too bad they raised the price. Paid $2.95 a piece for mine.

I'm getting all of mine now too (17 subscriptions in all - including a couple of free ones from bonus point links). My mailman must sincerely hate me. He will moreso when I'm away in Europe in a few weeks on vacation and having them stop the mail for two weeks while I'm away.
Also, I've been getting renewal bills (or offers to renew at a certain rate). Reading the fine print of all of them so far nothing NEEDS to be done in order to NOT renew. And since bestdealmags has my cc # and not each mag company I'm not too worried about it.
