They didn't mention how much they were charging for this new hybrid. Anywho, aren't electric engines at full-torque from 0rpm -> redline?

I think so. They defy almost all of the conventional wisdom that we've come up with to deal with gasoline engines.
As impressive as that is, I probably wouldn't get a car that can't go above 90. At least, not as my main drive. As a commuter, though, it would be pretty sweet to have the kid next to you in a Trans Am rev his engine and then eat your silent dust. Heheheh.

How 'bout 0-200 in 7 seconds? Yikes! And this was in 1998!

Yeah and after it gets to 200mph the battery runs out leaving you with no control
I wonder how long/how many times it can get up to speed like that...

I've heard that it'll race for up to an hour... obviously not at 200mph all the time, but some pretty high speeds nevertheless.
I'ts prolly the only good thing that's come out of Oklahoma.

I once dated a girl from Oklahoma...
...and I'm in agreement that the only good things to come from there are the electric car, steaks, and I-35. (I-35?) :D
