OMGosh, free DVD's after rebate from CyberRebate!!! Just goto their site and click on the Free DVD's button. I can't believe it, I'm going to order as many as I can...

http://www.cyberrebate.com/catalog/dept.asp?sts=nwc45&dept_id=11009&root_dept=11000&mscssid=GP913BJX18S92H5V00NGS75SBL6PC4AD (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9eASk0x48lo&offerid=27823.13285132&type=10&subid=)

Now before you wet your pants, I must state that I cannot believe that these guys are charging this much for each DVD. This is ridiculous. News.com posted an article about them awhile ago (archives on http://www.techbargains.com) about being a shady business.

If you think this is a deal, you gotta be kidding me. Sorry, I couldn't keep myself from posting this. :)

Thanks for the great laugh! I am always amused by CyberRebate! I still remember the "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" CD that was $269.00 on CyberRebate and free on a box of Chex!

Does that include the DVD Player???

Talk about money making scam lets see:
wait 3 months to pay rebate (if ever)back after investing money in a 3 month CD at 5% X a lot of suckers = some free ca$h.

Gotta laugh... Good Post

I suppose if your'e REALLY rich and don't have to worry about paying 170 bucks and getting it back in 3 months it's a deal.

Actually...the business model on thier end isnt that bad. They take the cash...move it around...make some interest then pay out.

Maybe we should start something here?

THAT IS THE BEST DEAL I HAVE EVER SEEN. I don't think I am going to even bother sending in the rebate, too much trouble, when I've already saved lotsa money. THANKS A LOT. That is the best deal that I have seen posted in months. I ordered 400, I hope I didn't kill the deal for anyone. Make sure you respond to this thread saying when and if your item was shipped and when you received it. Oh and let us know in a different post for each item. ie: I ordered 400, so I will post 400 times that each item was shipped, and another 400 times for each item I receive. Everyone understand?

Hmmm, someone's not having fun in the forums...

I can't help purchasing from them every now and then, I know the prices are 10x what they should be, but I have always gotten my money back. Even if I invested $170 in a 3 month CD at 5%, that gives me $8.50, which with free shipping, is still the cheapest price for those DVD's I have seen.

I had thought about if I had invested the money and gotten a 15% percent return if it would be worth it or not. That was about 8 months ago when I was actually making money in the stock market. Guess I don't have to worry about that anymore. :)

Yeah, thanks P-Fresh, I totally forgot about that and double Mypoints for your purchase. So really, you're still making a wee bit of money.

How many people can say they paid $170 for a DVD?

Those better be special DVD's that play themselves without a DVD Player.

You know some newbie is gonna buy 2 DVD's and throw away the things he needs to get that rebate back. Hahaha, laugh if you will but I've seen it before.

"I needed those UPCs to get the rebate???"

Hahahahaha.

OK, I admit, that would be hilarious! I remember the first time I bought from them, I got all excited when the box came and almost threw away all of the packaging which the UPC's were on.

What you could do is join their affiliate program, and you would get 10% of every sale done through your own link. That way, you would get everything 10% cheaper, and still get the full rebate.
For example:
DVD: you would pay it 169$
rebate check: 169$
affiliate commission: 10%= 17$

this means that you would get 17$ for buying this DVD

Hey, I just noticed you can get unlimited rebates on these! How cool! It's just Cyberrebate's little way of saying "If you're dumb enough to order from us, we'll send you as many $170 rebates as you'd like!"

Off to order 4000 copies of X-Men. Think ****** would kill me? (I'd *make* $33k! Ha!)

LOL My favorite part (NOT!) would be when they come in here to the DEALS page and gripe & whine because they think the store scammed them. roflmao@bitchy people.

I think Justin42 and freebieseak are on to something. Order a ton of DVD's or anything else through the associates link to get 10% off, get a crap-load of e-bates, and then get the rebates. So basically you end up making 15% of what you purchase. Any volunteers?

If I could honestly tell myself that I believed that Cyberrebate would still be in business in 3 months, I would go for it. I just don't see them surviving too much longer, this seems like an act of total desparation...

I'd hate to be out $170 for a friggin' DVD. I've been burned by Cyberrebate too many times; leaving me holding an expensive bag with no rebate would be the ultimate!

If anyone DOES do it, though, more power to them and they deserve every friggin' cent they get back and a round of applause!

$170.00 X 0.05 = $8.50 (in one year)
$8.50 X 0.25= $2.125 (the 3 months they have your money)
