3 buddies from work says that winmx is better than napster(recent events not withstanding)any thoughts???has anyone else tried it???? i need to rebuild my library of bad 80s music....

you'll need to download the "satellite" program on the h/p to use it.

I like it better (than napster) actually although the downloads arent as fast, you cant pick and choose who you download from.

Advantages: Easier to find more obscure songs you don't know the names of

Listed by an genre, which makes finding new music fun

Best thing.... If you choose to download... whatever.. and the guy your downloading from disconnects from the service, the site will resume your transfer from another user with the exact same file name/size where it left off. You can run a queue of however many songs you want and they will ALL eventually complete.

... Downside... It's TOO good, it'll go away for sure after word gets out about it and the RIAA points their missles at this target.
