Thanks for the lock Jenny - in fact, the thread had more right to be posted than the "Apex got ripped off" thread (which obviously isn't) because:

A) This was where Apex posted the "Sign up here for your rebate fix" thread,
B) This was where Apex posted the "Notice: I fixed everything"
C) Apex posted this as a front page deal - and its dying in spite of his assurance to the contrary

I guess the "pansy-ass" part was assuming Apex had as much pull with CyberRebate as he let us assume, and the other "pansy-ass" part must be my assumption that the moderators on this board wheren't the same inconsiderate elitest chodes that run Anandtech.

Oh, and by the way - how am I "lucky I am getting this much" - in fact, they aren't giving me ANYTHING except my rebate without having to mail it in. I can't believe I actually wasted more than a month waiting on this "deal."

I too thought Jenny's comments were uncalled for and out of line. Not to mention totally unprofesional. Did I say that? Methodman brings up some good points. I for one will never do business with Cyber Ripoff again! I guess I'm just a pansy-ass and need to grow up!

I realize now that some of the comments I made were rude and out-of-line and I apologize for that. I still think that EVERYONE that bought the clock for $11.99 expecting to get a $51.99 rebate KNEW that it would never happen. All I'm saying is that you shouldn't gripe too hard because even though it was an obvious typo, you get to keep the clock (lol piece of crap that it may be...) AND get your $11.99 back. Had Apex not stepped in, you would have had to send the clock back to get the $11.99 back or keep the clock and send in the rebate and therefor had to wait 3 months for the $$. To me, this way is much better! (Even though I didn't order it, cause I knew it had to be a typo...)

As for this belonging in the GotDeals forum much more than the Apex Got Ripped Off thread, I don't think you are right. (Doesn't mean we can't disagree, but...) Apex is the founder of this site. He is the head honcho. That alone qualifies it to be posted wherever it can. But I think that if it were someone else on here that had gotten ripped off for that much $$, the mods would have left it in the GotDeals forum as well, if someone had posted it there.

Again, I am sorry for what I said, but I still agree with the points I made. :)
