I have a friend from Japan who is looking to come to San Diego area to go to school. Her dad has been looking for a family to host her but hasn't had much luck. Do any of you have experience with being a host family or know where I could find out more information about it?
Thanks!

Two places that people I know have had luck with:
- Local Asian church. Although people who attend these churches are mainly Asians (yeah, I know - I'm the master of the obvious. :heh: ). If she's coming all the way from Japan, she might not want a host family that too closely resembles hers at home.
- Local University's international student organization. Every university I know of has one of these, and they have orientation programs for foreign students that include "assigning" host families to those who ask for one.
Good luck. :)
If she's cute, she could stay at my place. :naughty:

bad Leon!
but, on a similar thought, she could stay at my parents house (where I currently reside) :naughty:

Yeah, where the hell does Hapoo live? By the sounds of it, he'll "host" anything female with two legs! Hell, I'll bet he'd settle for an amputee!
