I can't figure out how to do this for my class project. I'm using mostly asp's. I want an email to be generated and sent once someone logs on to my site. Any help or even links would be greatly appreciated.
*daydreams back to the days of CGI scripting*
damn, that was a long time ago. lol.
CGI would be able to do it for you but you'll need some programming experience. Or you could go out and buy a big a$$ 1000 page book.

What do I need to run perl? I'm scared that if I do that, I might have to scrap all my asp pages and redo everything in perl.

to run perl?? are you hosting pages off your own computer? what OS are you running? I myself am using Apache with mod_perl. I'm sure there are http/perl servers for the OS your using. If ya let me know what your trying to make i might be able to help. I've never used asp but i'm sure its similar to php/perl

Cool I got it. I found a place called http://www.learnasp.com that showed me how to do it. The wierd thing is I can change the from field to spoof anybody's address. Will I get in trouble for that? I'm sending it through my company's mail server.
