I seriously am tired of women drivers. There should be a law saying that only women between the age of 16 and 25 can operate a car. Women over the age of 25 drive too slow and don't pay attention. Just think of all the accidents that wouldn't happen if they weren't on the road.

Come on I know I am not the only one that thinks this way!!

You know I don't need to bust out the insurance data on young males...

Being myself a young male, however, I will say this: women outside of the age bracket you mentioned are absurdly obsessed with safety. Men of all ages, we laugh in the face of danger. I'm not sure which one I'd prefer to be among: those that grow old being safe, or those that lead shorter lives, but travel the same distance in that shorter time frame.

Yep men have more accidents but that is because we are trying to get around those slow a$$ women drivers. Heck I've taken the grass more then once to get around.

we've had this discussion once before!
The only reason why the stats on women is so good is cause they f*cking cheat their way out of tickets and such. You can not tell me you don't know one woman who hasn't talked her way out of at least one ticket!

Those are differently the kind I am talking about. Two ladies in a Ford Explorer today going 30 mph in a 55 mph on a 1 lane road. You better believe I took the grass to pass them.

Back in highschool, there was a girl who could handbrake turn 180 degrees in her BMW into a parallel parking space. Hapoo would have been in love.

I'm a 20 year old jock who drives a '91 Dodge Caravan. That thing is a beast and it's the safest car I've ever driven. Plenty of windows for visibility, enough mass to cushion almost any collision, and it's only left me stranded once. (damn transmission) It handles well in rain and snow. My only complaint is that the dashboard begins to violently shake at 75...They obviously designed it for the soccer mom.

The only accident I've ever been in was caused by some ditz in her sweet 16 car running a FULL BLOWN redlight. I can understand (although not condone) running it as it's turning red, but she was a good tenth of a mile away. I got in a rear end collision with the guy coming through the intersection behind me all because some chick didn't have a clue about the differences between red and green.

Although, judging by the tint of my monitor, neither does compaq...

I think kids 16 - 18 yrs with their first cars are the most dangerous, both male and female. However SUV driving women with cell phones are a close second, followed by those SUV's driven by men. Here in San Diego SUV drivers are bullies on the freeways, many times forcing themselved in spaces smaller than their vehicle and almost causing others to nearly crash. I see it all the time.

Hey... as far as I'm concerned, let EVERYONE drive.

But take away their damn CELL PHONES!

Something about holding plastic to your ear that makes your brain cells quit working. I've almost been whacked so many times by people chatting on the phone that I can't count them anymore...

Shut up. Hang up. Drive. And pay attention to the 3000 pounds of steel UNDER you, not the 4 ounces of plastic hanging off your ear!

Well at school I don't here of to many guys screwing up their cars except 1 who just totaled his cavalier in a ditch some how. And I always hear of all of these chicks like screwing up their cars and everyone else's cars. Well for example this chick backed out in her Dad's brand new Corvette and did $5000 worth of damage to it, not to mention the other car. Just face it most women can't drive, and I said most because some women can drive (Just not very many).

If someone can't drive a car, what makes you think that they'll be any better on IT?

that piss me off.

They can't see over the dash, let alone reach the gas peddle, and why is it they seem to come out in hordes at lunch time, when I've got a "quick" errand to run or just want to pick up a sandwich. :smash: :smash:

The point is not that women cant drive. They can drive fine...the problem lies in how our brains develop. Natural selection (prolly cause of hunting) have made the male species better at spacial relations. You'll notice this when you see women backing out of parking spaces, or changing lanes...their never sure of how much space they have between their car and an object.

As for cellphones..some people can handle having that piece of plastic up to their ears. one of them that comes to mind is my friend Mila (YES, she is a GOOD female driver, even with a cell phone).

Hey i didn't say they'd be any better. At least this way if they do something stupid, my car won't be the one to suffer.

Yes Metro is good for now but what about the future?

Crowds Could Derail Decades of Progress (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A57050-2001Mar25.html) Here is a snippet:

"In the next 20 years, say the leaders of Washington's Metro, the transit agency must spend more than it cost to build the 103-mile subway system just to maintain the rail and bus lines it now operates.

Metro doesn't know where it will find all of those billions. But as the subway celebrates its silver anniversary this week, a new problem is brewing. Daily ridership that today totals about 600,000 -- and on some days overwhelms trains -- is going to double by 2025.

By then, six heavily used stations -- Metro Center, Gallery Place, L'Enfant Plaza, Farragut North, Union Station and Farragut West -- will have run out of passenger room on their platforms, mezzanines and escalators and at station entrances and fare gates, according to Metro's planners. They say the Orange Line won't be able to handle a single additional rider by 2020."

Politicians need to stop pandering to these boneheads use the environment to stop progress. These enviromentalist morons somehow think by not building the roads and bridges we desperately need the traffic problem will just go away. We need to start building more roads like the ICC and 2nd Potomac river crossing now!

Old people and women should not be allowed to drive.
Women in their high heels can't really control the accelerator and the stop pedal. They also use the rearview mirror to adjust their makup and can not handle high pressure situations. Instead of grabing the wheel and steering into the skid, they grab their head and start screaming and wailing (True story)
