i need 3 pc's and i don't know what to get....

one of them needs to be a power-house.. it is going to be used to photoshop.. scanning.. and editing pictures... for my sis who is an architect...

the other 2 can be whatever..... but i need help to maximize my money......

here are the systems I am looking at......

Duron 750 with ECS K7VZA Socket A 200MHz Mainboard...forget the ram/video card/sound card BS.. i'm just looking at MOBO & CPU.....

Duron 750 with ECS 810LM SiS 730 200 MHz FSB Mainboard

celery 633 on ECS P6BAPA Socket 370 Motherboard

http://www.vitalitycomputer.com/barspec2.html

Thunderbird 650 ECS K7VZA 200MHz Bus Speed

http://www.vitalitycomputer.com/barebonekit9.html

they all practically cost the same... $299-$315.. so money isn't an issue... I know that the DURON is the AMD equivalent to a celery... but would it be better to buy a DURON or a CELERY... or is it worth it for the thunderbird??

keep in mind I only need ONE powerful machine.. with ram upgrades from accessmicro.....or amazon if it goes through!

so.. for the other 2 systems.. i was looking at this:

http://www.computer-show.com/Frames/index.asp?CartId=609447EUXWP52

a couple of bucks cheaper.... for a celery 600 but with an Intel 810 Chipset microATX Motherboard....

PLEASE HELP!

I'd go with that first choice. Go heavy on memory on the Photoshop box. I once built a system for heavy Photoshop work and the thing just loved 512mb RAM. A nice jump in scanning performance over 256mb (but then, we were scanning HUGE files - some were 1Gb+). Just FYI...

If you really look around, you should be able to get a basic MB (i.e. MSI) and a T-Bird 800-900 for the same price range.... may be 10 or 20 dollars more, but well worth it overall.

Because the Duron 750 will be pretty dead even, performance-wise, as the TBird 650 for less money. The money saved on the CPU can be put toward more memory. That's why.
