I was just wondering....
this is a weird name contest...
what is the strangest name of a member of your immediate family
immediate family for the purposes of this thread are limited
to your self parents, grandparents, sibbling, kids nad grandkids

i think i ahve a tie for weirdness with my grandmother and grandfather with Veryle and Waclaw

I think mine won't beat yours but it is a funny story. :) My brother's name is Donald Wesley. He is named after both grandfathers. One is Albert Wesley and the other is/was Donald Hubert. My mom always loves to laugh about how Donny could have ended up Albert Hubert Edwards. ROFLMAO!

one of my friends initials is N.A.D. in high school, when he ran track they used to cheer "Go NAD!" He thought it was the best thing.

My sisters name isn't all that unusual, its just spelled kinda funky- her name is Siobhan, but its pronounced shivon.

Ummm, my dad always says that he wanted to name me Barengaria, but my mom wouldn't let him.

My mother's first and middle names are LaRae Aldea. Pretty uncommon, but not what I would call weird.

Almost forgot.

While working as a field engineer, I was doing some installations for a law ofice, one of whose associate attorney's names was Sblend Sblendorio.

I HOPE his mother didn't give him that one.

heh. my name isn't weird, it's just when you add on initials.

my nickname is pat. add on the initial of my last name, and you get path. add on my middle initial and you get patch.

I may not be the winner here, (*****) but i think i am in the top three...

i named my son blaidd. rather than tax the american stupidity with other languages, we are just pronouncing it "blade." (proper would be something kinda like bledth/blydth) it is an old celtic word meaning wolf.

now, would you fuck with a kid on the playground knowing that his name was blaidd?

not unless your name was machine gun...

his nickname is caesar jesus. and i don't mean the elegant, spanish pronunciation "say-ZAR hey-SOOS." i mean the trailer-park cracker pronunciation "SEE-zer JEE-zus."

it was what my sister suggested naming him while we were agonizing over names, and it was just so goddamned funny we couldn't let it go.

if i ever have another kid, he's going to be galileio.

and if you don't believe i would do that to my kid, just ask my firstborn, he'll tell ya...

Back in my bill collecting days, I had to call up a lady named Edwina Kills her man. Yes she lived on a reservation.

I didn't get to see the name right away so when the account came up and someone answered the phone I said, "Hi, can I speak with Edwina Kills...never mind!" (click)

No WAY was I going to tell a woman called Kills Her Man, I want payment in full or the car. Better safe than another notch on her belt!

When I was in high school, the local school bus company was owned by two brothers whose proper names were John Knauf and Richard Knauf.

Of course, being a small town, they didn't go by their given names, but instead by the nicknames:

Jack Knauf
Dick Knauf

And they were old enough to be out of the slang loop, so I wonder if they ever had a clue...

I had a friend in high school. His first name was Otto. That's pretty weird in itself, I think. Only other Otto I know is the bus driver from the simpsons. His last name was Beels........and his middle name? Moe. Otto Moe Beels - Automobiles. His parents must have just not cared , hehe.
