emanual.exe? Virus?

My inbox is being flooded with emails with the subject "Fw. Friend?". There is no text, just an attachment called emanual.exe. When I logged on to check my email there was 40. Now there's 130 copies of it. I didn't open it. Is this the latest virus sweeping the globe? Or do I just have an idiot friend who can't work email?
