Now the BMW C1 is available in two displacement variants. In comparison to the basic engine variant, the new C1 200 above all offers more pulling power and a new sound with its 13 kW/18 bhp, 176 cc engine. Maximum torque is 17 Nm at 6500 rpm. Acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h takes 3.9 seconds. Naturally this engine variant is highly economical on fuel requiring only 3.2 litres of petrol for 100 km. Its closed-loop 3-way catalytic converter makes it extremely environment-friendly.


According to BMW, they are not planning to import to US or Canada. Also, it is only built for 1 rider (no passenger). [What good is a chick magnet if you can't bring her home?]

Pardon me for laughing so hard, but a motorcycle with an airbag?, or a crumplezone? (well, unless you consider all that plastic and the front forks a crumple zone...)

Anyways, you could jump off and walk around any danger at that things max speed. :heh:

hehe, actually, that would be "pushing power" since all real motorcycles i've ever seen are RWD, not FWD.

thats like saying 0 - 30mph in 3.9 sec... now thats some real raw power there!

That figures up to right around 60 MPG - my old Shadow 500 would get that (and it has a heckofalot more power, and style) and my CBR600F2 gets about 50MPG, and it's a high-performance engine.

Plus, that top-heavy "super windshield/cover" thingy will catch wind like kite. Get a good gust from the side and you'll find yourself in the other lane, or even riding "horizontaly"....
